VACRYLEX® is a new product developed by VAKUM PLAST as an alternative to cast acrylic, ABS and derivative materials. Our product is especially designed as a combination of PMMA and ABS raw materials, which is mainly suitable for the needs of sanitary ware (shower tray and bathtub) manufacturers.

WHY VACRYLEX®?

• Thanks to VACRYLEX®'s special acrylic-based layer, adhesion to furnace systems is prevented.
• The bottom of VACRYLEX® is adhered smoothly, like in cast acrylic, when polyester is laid.
• ABS can not be reused because it sticks to the furnace when heated. VACRYLEX® can be reheated after heat treatment.
• VACRYLEX® is UV resistant thanks to its special layers.
• VACRYLEX® is highly formable compared to cast acrylic.
• With 4 mm cast acrylic, it is necessary to heat the sheet for 20 minutes at 175 ºC in order to give it a shape. With 4mm VACRYLEX®, it is enough to heat the sheet at 170 ºC for 6 minutes. As a result, you save energy and capacity increase is achieved.
• After thermoforming, the cooling time of cast acrylic is approximately 4 times longer than VACRYLEX®.
